Miniature erotic painting (EROTICA) ALBUM of 27 exquistely executed, highly coloured, 19th century Indian miniature paintings, each approx 21 X 12 cm.
Bound in full crushed morocco, with pages interleaved. Six pages of hand written Persian text in hanging script.
Sixteen of the paintings are erotic images of couples in various positions of sexual intercourse, eight others are of single figures, including two men carrying swords, and the other three are group scenes.
The images are painted in sharp bright colours, the work is finely done in great detail and each is embellished with gilt.
