1935. No Binding. Two sides, folded sheet, 18 x 14.5 cm. . ALS on headed notepaper, 'Dolder Grand Hotel, Zurich, July 23, 1935.' "Dear Miss Head: If my friend, the Hon F.M.B. Fisher, whom you no doubt know by name & reputation, as a former Minister in the Government of New Zealand, & a famous tennis player & business man in England, sends you his letter presented with an article, or story, will you have a look at it, & if you think it's suitable to one of your magazines send it on to Mr ____ for his consideration? If you will I shall be very much obliged. Am I every going to see you again?.... As always, Robert Hichens". Handwritten envelope addressed to "Miss Alice Head, National Magazine Co Ltd, 153 Queen Victoria Street, London EC4". Hitchens (1864-1950) was a novelist most famous for the satire on Oscar Wilde, "The Green Carnation", published in 1894. Very Good. Item #017800
