First English translation by Nathaniel Walker of the famous Italian work on the courtier by Giovanni Della Casa, (1503-1556). Walker notes in his comments to the reader that it is part a translation or paraphrase and that he has 'but mean knowledge of Italian', and admits to adding and enlarging to create a virtually new book.
