Photolithograph of the Central North Island with the route of the main trunk railway in red, through the Waikato, King Country, Central Plateau and Manawatu, with proposed side branches in dotted red lines. 43 x 33 cm. A handsome, clean copy of an important and interesting map. By 1880 the main trunk line had reach Te Awamutu, and the remaining link shown in the map, through to Marton, was started in 1884 and only opened in1908. Map also shows the Marton to New Plymouth line, completed in 1885. Very Good. Item #018631
