Supreme Court documents

1864. No Binding. A set of Annual Certificates of Barrister or Solicitor issued by the Supreme Court of New Zealand, certifying that Henry Hill of Shortland Street in Auckland was on the roll as a solicitor. Signed by the Registrar, Thomas Outhwaite, who arrived in Auckland in 1842, along with Sir William Martin and William Swainson, was the first Registrar of the Supreme Court. He held a number of public positions until retiring in 1869. Henry St. Hill was a friend of Outhwaite (they walked from Wellington to Auckland in 1843, along with Martin), and was Resident Magistrate in Wellington until dying in 1866. The set of papers, 21 x 34 cm cover 1864 to 1872. Each document has the stamp of the Supreme Court of New Zealand. Very Good. Item #019435
