A very good copy of the first edition giving a line-by-line exposition of the Magna Carta. During the reign of James I, Coke conducted the trial against Sir Walter Raleigh who was charged with treason. Raleigh was found guilty and spent ten years in the Tower of London before being executed. Coke also prosecuted the Gunpowder Plot conspirators in 1605 who were all sentenced to death. Very Good.
