1873. No Binding. ALS, Hand-written letter, dated 14 August, 73, from Cooke, headed Groombridge, Sussex. 4 pages with small pen illustrations of flints from Norfolk, with descriptions. Cooke, (1811-1880) was a notable marine artist, son of the well-known engraver George Cooke (who engraved some of the plates for early New Zealand travel books). He travelled widely through Europe painting marine scenes, and was also a noted geologist. Very Good. Item #019210
