Hand-written note on card headed "The Pryors, Hampstead NW , Feb 19 1888" The note reads "Dear Hunt, [printed emblem: The Chalcographic Society, printed text: will meet at my house on Friday] March 2nd when I shall be glad if you will join us at 8'oc (.) Supper at 9.30. Yours sincerely, Walter Field" This is possibly addressed to Holman Hunt, one of the founders of the Pre-Raphaelite brotherhood. Field (1837-1901) was a noted landscape artist. Chalcography is the art of copper engraving. 12.5 x 16 cm. Very Good. Item #019211
