1862. No Binding. A set of Annual Certificates of Barrister or Solicitor issued by the Supreme Court of New Zealand, admitting one Walter James of Auckland onto the roll as a solicitor. Signed by the Registrar, Thomas Outhwaite, who arrived in Auckland in 1842, along with Sir William Martin and William Swainson, was the first Registrar of the Supreme Court. He held a number of public positions until retiring in 1869. Henry St. Hill was a friend of Outhwaite (they walked from Wellington to Auckland in 1843, along with Martin), and was Resident Magistrate in Wellington until dying in 1866. The documents have the stamp of the Supreme Court of New Zealand. Dated 1865 to 1872. 33.5 x 23.5 cm. Very Good. Item #019245
