1937. No Binding. Signed card "James Crichton VC Sergt. Coronation Contingent 1937". 12.5 x 6 cm. Plus 2 newspaper cuttings dated 8 July 1937 and 18 July 1936. Crichton's VC was awarded for swimming across the river Scheldt under enemy fire to report to HQ on enemy conditions, then returning to remove explosives from a bridge, on 30 September, 1918. Crichton was a private in the 2nd Battalion of the Auckland Infantry Regiment serving in France at the end of WWI. Very Good. Item #019282
