1927. No Binding. Hand-written card:(to his close friend Lady Wavertree) 'My little wife died last night. We kept off the pain and depression to the very end. Five months of it! Yours, H.G.Wells.' Well's wife Jane died on 6 October, 1927 at Dunmow. The card is a photograph of their house at Easton Glebe, Dunmow, Essex. Very Good. Item #019592
