1937. No Binding. Signed slip by the noted English fast bowler Arthur Gilligan 'All best wishes from Arthur E R Gilligan, April 6, 1937. Gilligan (1894-1976) captained the English cricket test team 9 times in 1924-25, winning 4 tests. Though well-liked, he was a member of the British Fascists early in his playing career. Includes a press cutting from 28 January 1937 announcing his visit to NZ to visit his cricketing brother Harold, Headmaster of Wanganui Collegiate, plus a hand-written signed letter pertaining to that visit, and a newspaper photo.
