In the letter to Lady Wavertree, Chaliapin apologises for not replying sooner, having just arrived in Paris from Egypt, and hopes to meeting her when in London on the 7 and 8th. Includes and envelope addressed to Lady EWavertree, Sussex Lodge, Regents Par and postmarked Paris, 28 fevrier 1933. Fyodor Ivanovich Chaliapin (1873-1938) left Russia after the 1917 revolution, subsequently appearing in opera houses and concert houses around the world, the leading bass singer of his age. 21 x 18 cm.
