Wetere was implicated in the attack on Pukeruhe in 1869 which resulted in the death of the missionary the Rev John Whitely and garrison staff and their families. On the reverse is an early photograph scene of Atiamuri in the Waikato. Mounted on early card from an album. Card 22.5 x 27 cm, image 15 x 20.5 cm. Very Good. Item #020746
