Auckland: W T Wilson, 1913. No Binding. 70 Original B&W photographic numbered postcards of the Auckland Exhibition, December 1913. 56 are from the noted Auckland photographer W. T. Wilson, and 14 from the studio of William Archer Price (Price Photographic Company). The cards from the two photographers are interleaved into the single numbering system. 14 x 9 cm This collection shows numerous scenes of the Exhibition, including water rides, social scenes in the grounds, the Concert Hall, the grand entry gates, the Royal Hippodrome, Palace of Industries etc. Photographic postcards of New Zealand from this time are rare and represent an important historical record, particularly of such a large social event as the Exhibition.
