With a hand-written note and signature taken from the bottom of a letter: 'I am my Dear Sir Roderick, very sincerely yours, F.L. Mclintock.' 3.5 x 9 cm. Mounted in card 35.5 x 25 cm. McClintock was an Irish explorer in the Royal Navy, known for his discoveries in the Canadian Arctic archipelago. He was the first to bring back evidence, in 1859, of the fate of Sir John Franklin, who died searching for the North-West passage, in 1847. Very Good. Item #021042
